The State of Serbia
In conjunction with: P.F.T (Personal Futures Training) Film Production Company (for more information click here); Birmingham Music Network and Exit Music Festival.
Crazy Goat is currently working on a documentary film project, which aims to show how the lives of the Serbian people have been affected since the war in 1991. The film will focus on Serbia’s youth culture and will endeavour to come to a greater understanding of not only the country’s demise, but also its current cultural standing and future outlook.
One of the focal points will be the Exit Music festival, an annual event which takes place each July in Novi Sad, located about 100 km north-west of Belgrade. This is seen to be one of the most positive cultural activities in the country and attracts international musicians (e.g. Iggy Pop, Cypress Hill and Roger Sanchez) and offers hope and optimism in a country rife with poverty and high unemployment. Its importance can be measured by the attendance in 2004 of the Serbian president, Boris Tadic.
